<div class="article-body"><p>We are aware of and tracking an issue with player ships that may greatly hinder normal game play.</p>
<p>Sometimes when spawning a ship, it will appear missing key components such as a pilot seat or engine and thus cannot be used.&nbsp; This may occur even after an insurance claim has been filed on the ship, and seems more prevalent after a player has had to force quit the game for some reason, such as after a game crash.</p>
<p>If you spawn a ship and discover its loadout of equipment has been reset to default or stock equipment, this means that the game has saved your ship from spawning with something missing entirely so your ship remains usable.&nbsp; The same is true if your paint has vanished for some reason.</p>
<h3>To address this issue and help us track down the underlying cause:</h3>
<ol>
<li>Head to the <a href="https://robertsspaceindustries.com/">RSI website</a>.</li>
<li>Login to your RSI account.</li>
<li>Report what happened and the steps to reproduce it on the <a href="https://issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Issue Council</a>.</li>
<li>Attempt to spawn a different ship.</li>
</ol>
<p><strong>RSI Support cannot reset singular ships or grant in-game items to correct this issue.&nbsp;</strong></p></div>
